GENERAL INFORMATION NOTES
1. Fire drills will be conducted on a monthly basis. The fire department asks that children wear runners or slippers at all times. If you should forget indoor footwear one day, do not be overly concerned. We will put the child's boots on if there is a drill.
2. There will be a charge for NSF cheques. If you have given us a cheque we do not mind holding it rather than have it bounce.
3. If you should cancel your registration we ask that you give us 30 days notice. This gives us a chance to fill that spot.
4. You are welcome to visit anytime, just give us a little time to settle the classes.
5. If you should experience car trouble (or another reason that you cannot pick up your child after class) please call as soon as you know. Sometimes we can help. If you are late bringing your child one day please check to see that we are downstairs. Occasionally we may plan a nature walk on a particularly nice day. When we have excursions we will always notify you in advance. Whenever we leave, we will always post a sign telling you where we may be found.
6. We are not required to have a copy of your child's immunization record on file, but we do have to ask if your child's immunization record is up to date.
7. Please label all boots to avoid confusion. You may borrow felt pens, if you wish.
8. Children should wear clothes which are easily cleaned and not too confining. This will allow them to participate in the many activities. We do have paint shirts for the messier craft days.
9. We check the coat room for any items at the end of each class. Any items left here will be posted on a bulletin board or left in a "Lost and Found." If you are missing something, please ask us.
10. All parents will be asked to contribute one item of food for two or three parties during the year.
11. Children may bring friends or guests to class at the rate of $10.00 a day, if there is room. Please check with the teachers.
12. IF, AT ANY TIME, CLASSES MUST BE CANCELLED DUE TO A SEVERE SNOWSTORM (ETC.) YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED BY YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER. We always need to have your latest phone number on file. Thanks!
13. When it is your child's birthday, you may wish to send a treat for the entire class. Just remember- no nuts! Children love class birthday parties! At our end of the school-year party in June, we will sing to all the children with summer birthdays.
14. We have special days for the children to bring toys to school. Most of these are easily recognizable. However, there are many toys that are alike. If we notice them, we will put a piece of tape on it with the child's name. Sometimes, however, we do not see the toy come in. We request that you label your child's toy. You may use our tape and felts if you wish.
15. From time to time we will have you save special things for us -like the inside rolls of paper towels. We can always use bits of wool, and interesting bits of felt and other fabric.
16. We love fancy dress-up clothes! You may bring them in anytime!
